Junction between plane shell and solid

Description

Element for mechanical analysis with plane shells in generalized plane state (NTANA=7, IANA=5).

Junction element allowing the simultaneous use of plane shells (KIRSH, MINDS) and solid elements (PLXLS, JET2D, …) connected together in generalized plane state.

The element consists in the assembling of several sub-elements (up to 10) whose interpolation, on the solid side, is either parabolic or linear.

The numerical integration is performed with 2 Gauss points for parabolic sub-elements, and 1 Gauss point for linear sub-elements.

The numbering of nodes follows the order given in the figure below. The first node is always the node of the shell. Type: 43
